1. Create your Meta account by going to https://auth.meta.com :

a. You can use an existing Facebook, or Instagram account or email to create a new one.

b. Some games require a separate Meta Account for each headset while some games work on the same Meta account. In the Meta app, you can add multiple headsets to the same account. Based on this information you can either create multiple or one Meta account.

2. Download the Meta Horizon app on your smartphone and sign in to your Meta account. If you have multiple Meta accounts, then add the respective devices to the respective Meta Account. The procedure is the same.

3. Follow the instructions on the headset and set up your headset with room calibration. Ensure the Wi-Fi you connect to the headset is on the same network or Wi-Fi as your PROXY PC. Quest will update to its latest software version. Go through the setup process inside the headset.

4. Once the setup is complete you will be asked to pair the headset with the app with a number code.

5. Open your Meta Horizon smartphone app, Go to the Menu button at the bottom, Click the Devices button, and pair a new device.

Note: With the latest Meta Quest 3S headset, you can also scan the QR Code, and all these instructions are provided.

6. Select the correct headset from the given choices.

7. Using Bluetooth the headset should be paired with the app and you should get a notification on the app. In case this doesn’t happen you can go to the next step.

8. Enter the code on your phone app. The code can be found inside the headset. Once the code is entered, check the headset and follow instructions on setting up the room, etc.

9. Once all the initial setup is complete you will find your Headset under the devices option in your smartphone app
